DESCRIPTION:This is an intensive two-day training program designed to give your service field supervisors (and your company) an edge in today’s challenging market. \n\n\n\nPlease note this class includes one day of instruction at Milwaukee Tool’s Research and Development facility in Milwaukee. Attendees will get to see a tour of the facility\, as well as attend an option Brewer’s Game with Dinner on Tuesday\, April 14\, 2026. If you stay for the game\, MSCA recommends you book your hotel reservation through Wednesday\, April 15. \n\n\n\nThe key role played by field supervisors has a direct impact on your bottom line. Often\, these highly qualified technicians are placed in this management position with virtually no management or leadership training. \n\n\n\nMSCA Field Supervisors\, sponsored by Milwaukee Tool\, is focused training designed specifically for improving the performance of service field supervisors. DESCRIPTION:WHAT IS IT?\n\n\n\n\nA new online program for new or aspiring field leaders.\n\n\n\nAn 8-week course made up of live lectures\, short assignments\, quizzes\, and video segments.\n\n\n\nAn overview of concepts and practices essential to running a successful mechanical jobsite.\n\n\n\n\nWHO SHOULD ATTEND?\n\n\n\n\nField leaders who have relatively little (0-2 years) experience running work.\n\n\n\nAnyone who has been identified as a potential future field leader.\n\n\n\nJourneyworkers and apprentices interested in becoming field leaders.\n\n\n\n\nWHAT DO PARTICIPANTS NEED TO ENROLL IN THIS PROGRAM?\n\n\n\n\nThe support of their MCAA contractor.\n\n\n\nThe consent of their direct supervisor to step away from their work area for 90 minutes each week to participate in the live online lecture.\n\n\n\nAn additional hour per week for completing weekly course requirements (assignments & quizzes).\n\n\n\nAccess to a laptop or tablet and a stable internet connection fast enough to allow for video streaming.\n\n\n\nAn email address to receive course information and reminders; a web browser to access the online course portal; and a Zoom account to join the lectures.\n\n\n\nA desire to learn and an interest in field leadership!\n\n\n\n\nHOW WAS THIS PROGRAM DEVELOPED?\n\n\n\n\nThe FFL is taught by senior field leaders with extensive experience running mechanical jobs.\n\n\n\nThe curriculum is built from the input of 42 mechanical field leaders from MCAA member companies across the country. Participants may watch lecture recordings of up to two of the eight lectures\, provided they attend a minimum of 6 live lectures. \n\n\n\n\n\nWatch a weekly video clip and answer a few short questions about it.\n\n\n\nParticipate in lectures\, including the polls and short-answer chat questions during class.\n\n\n\nComplete all eight weekly quizzes by their deadlines.\n\n\n\nOn-time completion of all requirements is required for participants to receive an FFL Diploma.\n\n\n\n\nCOURSE DATES & TIME COMMITMENTS\n\n\n\n\nAn FFL course is 8 weeks long. DESCRIPTION:WHAT IS IT?\n\n\n\n\nAn online program for new or aspiring field leaders.\n\n\n\nAn 8-week course made up of live lectures\, short assignments\, quizzes\, and video segments.\n\n\n\nAn overview of concepts and practices essential to running a successful mechanical jobsite.\n\n\n\n\nWHO SHOULD ATTEND?\n\n\n\n\nField leaders who have relatively little (0-2 years) experience running work.\n\n\n\nAnyone who has been identified as a potential future field leader.\n\n\n\nJourneyworkers and apprentices interested in becoming field leaders.\n\n\n\n\nWHAT DO PARTICIPANTS NEED TO ENROLL IN THIS PROGRAM?\n\n\n\n\nThe support of their MCAA contractor.\n\n\n\nThe consent of their direct supervisor to step away from their work area for 90 minutes each week to participate in the live online lecture.\n\n\n\nAn additional hour per week for completing weekly course requirements (assignments & quizzes).\n\n\n\nAccess to a laptop or tablet and a stable internet connection fast enough to allow for video streaming.\n\n\n\nAn email address to receive course information and reminders; a web browser to access the online course portal; and a Zoom account to join the lectures.\n\n\n\nA desire to learn and an interest in field leadership!\n\n\n\n\nHOW WAS THIS PROGRAM DEVELOPED?\n\n\n\n\nThe FFL is taught by senior field leaders with extensive experience running mechanical jobs.\n\n\n\nThe curriculum is built from the input of 42 mechanical field leaders from MCAA member companies across the country. Participants may watch lecture recordings of up to two of the eight lectures\, provided they attend a minimum of 6 live lectures. \n\n\n\n\n\nWatch a weekly video clip and answer a few short questions about it.\n\n\n\nParticipate in lectures\, including the polls and short-answer chat questions during class.\n\n\n\nComplete all eight weekly quizzes by their deadlines.\n\n\n\nOn-time completion of all requirements is required for participants to receive an FFL Diploma.\n\n\n\n\nCOURSE DATES & TIME COMMITMENTS\n\n\n\n\nAn FFL course is 8 weeks long. Lectures take place once a week\, always on the same day of the week.\n\n\n\nLectures are 90-minutes long.\n\nThis includes 15 minutes for participants to put down their tools\, leave their worksite\, and log in via their laptop/tablet in a quiet place.
